Five days in the Canadian Rockies

Ah, the Canadian Rockies. ๐Ÿ’š

Have you ever had that feeling like you just NEED to see a place for yourself? That you won’t be “complete” until you visit? (As silly / woo-woo as that may sound…)

That’s me and the Rockies.

I knew in the planning stages for my Canada trip that I had to put the Rockies on my list. More than pretty much anything else, I needed to see these mountains. I donโ€™t actually know why as Iโ€™ve always been a coastal/beach person. Mountains havenโ€™t really been on my radar.

(Then again, Australia isn’t known for its mountains, so… ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Maybe it was the photographer side of me – it knew the landscape photography opportunities would be UNREAL? (Reader, my photographer side was spot on…)

Whatever the case… the mountains were calling and I had to go.

Considering the time of year I was travelling (I arrived in Vancouver right at the end of September) there werenโ€™t a LOT of tour operators that:

a) were still running trips to the Rockies – a lot of them had started their short hiatus for the change over between summer and winter tours, and

b) would get me back to Vancouver in time for another event I had booked.

Iโ€™m pretty sure Discover Canada Tours was the only one available and Iโ€™m actually incredibly glad I went with that one because it was a FANTASTIC tour.

The tour involved five very FULL days (we covered a LOT of kilometres!) – Iโ€™ve listed the towns/spots we hit below. Iโ€™ve started blogging about the trip – don’t want to forget a thing!! – and each day has its own blog post. Links below.

So come with me on a tour of (part of!) the Canadian Rockies in just five days…
